“Ten and Gone” Makes Best Horror Recommendation List

It’s hard to overestimate the impact that Ellen Datlow has had on the horror literature landscape. She’s a legendary anthologist who’s been a tastemaker for nearly four decades. It’s almost impossible to find any serious horror fan who doesn’t have at least one of her books on their bookshelves.

As a writer, her Best Horror of the Year anthology is something of a Holy Grail.

That’s why it was such a thrill to see my story “Ten and Gone” included on her recommended reading list for stories released in 2021. I’m in some great company here, with writers from talented newcomers to horror royalty. Though I didn’t make it into the book this year, it’s still amazing to me that I’ve made it this far.

You can check out the entire list on Ellen’s website.
